Prob because of the distance between refuelling points here in Oz. Diesel gets you nearly double the distance on a tank. More time driving, less time watching the fuel guage !!!

Too much lightening for my liking, so we parked the boat & went wheeling lakeside at Tinaroo Far North Queensland.

Thanks,

So I bought the bumper from sky manufacturing. It was relatively cheap $500 compared to the rest of the modular bumper makers out there. I was really disappointed once I got it and saw how it installed with just 4 bolts to the radiator support bar only. If you run it how it comes then you will rip it off the front of your truck with one hard pull by the winch. I have made up several brackets and truss supports for the bumper so I can pull the truck any direction with the winch and the bumper will not move no matter what direction the winching line is pulling from.

My tires are 315x75x16 or equivalent to a 35" tire. I am running Downey T bars, ball joint spacers, Downey mega travel ball joints. For the rear I am running Downey 4" lift coils. Here pretty soon if the rig doesn't sell I will 3 link the front with a mini truck axle running a high pinion diff from an FZJ80.

Hey 85Toyman, do you have any reading material or tips for someone who is trying to go 1u with IFS?? I have a 90 with a 5speed I'm working on.. and I've come to the conclusion that it will not fit without some type of lift.. body lift is a no go for me.. love to keep it as low as possible..

This is my 95 V6 5-speed. All of these IFS flex pictures make me think I can get more out of my IFS. I've got a Superlift 4" lift, Downey T bars, and 35x12.5x15 Goodyear MTR's.

Does rear flex count?

Here is a link to my build thread. I make the motor mounts and sell them for those are looking for a set.

I actually am running a 1" body lift. I can give you several reasons as to why you will need to run 1" body lift. I was like you and didn't want any body lift, but with fitment and having the space needed to allow the heat to escape under the body correctly you will need the 1" lift. I also custom cut and machined 1" T6061 aluminum body spacers as well.
