Possibly rebuilt?

So I am the 3rd owner of my 4runner with 230k. I was told that my motor has been rebuilt by the 1st owner. No paper work to prove it. Just by word from the guy I bought it from.

BUT! Today I checked my timing chain and everything looks nice and tight. Has the plastic chain guides but they are all intact. Tension seems good also. Cleaned the water pump and its aftermarket. Then I found some markings on the head. She does have good power and burns no oil at all. Only thing is that I get that dry sounding start every time I start the truck then quickly goes away.

Looks like it said's R.B 05/.../07 MF Middle number has worn off.

Can anyone chime in? Whats MF mean?

Thanks!

Hmmm...maybe a junkyard unit from a wrecked 4runner?

Maybe, I'll have to do a comp test in the Am. I was planing on rebuilding. But maybe I wont have 2. Then I can skip to the goodies.
