Kind of at a big fork in the road... Just want to see what some opinions are!
I do some moderate wheelin, mostly trails, but want to get into doing more. This truck does see a lot of on-road time, not a DD but damn close.

I have a completley mint 93' Stnd. Cab 5spd 22re w/ 33x12.50's
Only thing done to it is a 4" Superlift Kit. I have about 2k to blow.

1)Get 4:88's, sliders, 63" chevies, front bumper and save what's left for lockers

2)Trash that bracket lift and go for an LT kit

3)SAS it (not really b/c of my on-road time and moderate wheelin)

4) Other...

Again, I know I am only gettin opinions but, I'm interested to see what the input is.

 

if the truck is mint then i would keep it that way, or sell it and combine the 2k with whatever you get out of it and then build a badass one.

or just sas it and beat the heck out of it. ether way your gonna have fun!

 

I'd do gears, lockers, and then evaluate what you have and what you want after that.

 

yea, go with your 1st option, and save for lockers after that

gears and lockers first. you'll likely reach the limits of the ifs before you really need sliders- I refer to it as the (leaning) to (butt-pucker) [l:bp] ratio. the ifs is actually quite capable and works well in all but the worst cases where articulation is paramount (from what I hear) and results in sliding.

 

I dunno, I'd do lockers at the same time - you're gonna have the diff apart, you might as well.

 

X2 Gears and lockers at the same time. It's easier and will save you money for the rest of the toys.

 

In order of neccesity IMO

#1 - Gears and lockers
#2 - Sliders
#3 - chevy's
#4 - other trail armor
#5 - SAS!

 

I'd do option #1, gears and lockers together, then throw in some BJ spacers, relax the T-bars and run 35x10.50 SSR's

I like the BJ spacers, but that would give me around 6" of lift in the front (more like 5.5"), what would I do in the rear then. Get a 5" Leaf Pack?

 

I'm going long travel eventually.
