lol. Yeah I'd like to put the tire back under there if I hit up a junk yard, but I, also thinking that might be a helluva a spot to mount an air tank for my OBA setup im working on.

I also considered an OBA tank under there but ended up buying an MV-50 compressor that does what I need. I'm planning on cutting the rear deck out and recessing in a storage compartment back there to hold all the tools and things I carry every day.

Two birds.... one stone.
Factory rack. 35" MTR. Made brackets for the Hi-Lift.
I also have an internal rack I built when I plan to do some "gnarlier" trails and reduce rear overhang. Holds the spare flat to the bed. Puts toolbox and cooler on top. I'll try and post a pic or two of that setup.

I'd like to try and find one!

i just found one at a wreching yard for 30 bucks, it was a picknpull yard, they charge 19 for the holder and another 6 for the lic. plate holder, but still a good find... look in ur area they might have pick n pull close to you.

The '90-'91 factory rear tire carrier can usually be found on car-part.com for a decent price. However, when so equipped from the factory, they had bracing inside of the bodywork to support the weight. I wouldn't just bolt it up to sheet metal and expect it to hold very much weight.

I'll TRY to find one I can cut the section out of the quarter, and just trim the "STRIP"s down and tack them in side!

I would do this, but when I'm on my trips my grille, two coolers, pop up canopy and chairs for me and the kids JUST fit in the back with NO room to spare!
I have AAA but you need to HAVE the tire for them to change it for your if for some STRANGE reason you cant get it off on the side of the road!
See Murphy FOLLOWS me,if I have the spare, I won't EVER need it! lol
If I leave it at home, THAT will be the first flat I will have had since 1985!
Which COINCIDENTLY is the LAST time I went ANYWHERE without a spare!!
