ParkinG light 'issues'

Well, after attempting the parking light/blinker mod.

I managed to get the blinkers to blink through the parking lights, but now my parking lights won't even turn on.. But the blinkers will..

So, the lights aren't burned out.

Neither side will turn on when the lights are on, but blinkers will. Is there a fuse or something that i'm not seeing, because i cant find it at all.

(i posted this in newbie section and got no help).

the chevy/GM one where you put in that style light dealie.
that's beside the point because they won't even turn on if i connect the old lights to it..

Its definately the starting point because there is another mod that utilizes the stock socket, which sounds like its different than what you did. How did you wire the new socket in? Do you have a link to instructions for this mod? I am unfamiliar with it, i'd like to have a reference to what you started with.

Do you have a wiring diagram for your year truck? That is the most important tool for this type of work, along with a DMM of good quality.

I fixed it.
Turns out there is a fuse under the dash that doesnt say "parking light" or anything like that, but i noticed it was out because my dash lights didnt turn on.

It's all good to go now.
