PAIR system + Downey Headers

Has anyone had to engineer the PAIR valve pipe with Downey headers? I have always had trouble getting the device to stay tight in the header. It either leaks, come loose, or comes really loose. It is making my idle do wierd things I believe.

Yeah, I've had problems with mine too. I've been using a high heat metal repair compound made to fix cracked manifolds to seal the pipe to the header. It works well (no melting or leaking). I get it at kragen for just under 10 bucks. When it comes time to remove it, I can break the seal pretty easily.

If we are talking about the same thing I cut up part of a pipe off of the old passenger manifold and used it as a spacer to make the fit tight. It took us a couple of tried to get the right size but it's worked well for 20K+ miles.
