paint questions?

alright here it goes finnally decided to paint my truck and im having the most awful time doing it dent here dent there minor rust stuff like that but you cant see most of these dents until first coat was put on wich halts progress but any ways:

have any of you guys used starfire acrylic enamel paint?

also if you did or have any knowledge on this subject ive got a base epoxy primere on some of the bare metal spots and and about to reprime the whole truck with omni mp282 filler primer does enamel bond to this? If not im in for a hell of a ride on this paint job

Starfire and omni will give you 6-12 month paint job. At least it does here it Arizona.

Usully anything will stick to anything if is has been sanded properly. I wouldn't use it as a wet on wet. The MDS (material data sheet) will tell you what products can go on it. I also would only use single stage paint if it was a solid, not metallic, color

im on a budget so im kinda stuck with what i got and its single stage metallic blue

and i cannot find anything on the starfire paint

LOL!..i used the camo color from walmart...OD green..lol..its holding up nice...about 5 months on it..no peeling..or anything like that...chipping yes...but what do you expect..i go muddin alot.and i got super swampers.lol...i should've painted it white...with black rims..but o well..maybe next time..

got a remedy for paint that wont hold up the rocker panels are getting herulined if the paint chip than i herc the whole truck hell with it

Around here acrylic enamel paint is very rarely if ever used anymore. basecoat/clearcoat is what i use and i have used the omni bc/cc on a few vehicles and they are holding up nicely.
