Out of storage - so to be on the road (again)
4Runner has been in storage since circa 2009
I got a new battery (optima Yellow Top)
and installed a new starter (the starter was already going flakey when it went in to storage; I had tried to start it a few weeks earlier with just a new batter and realized that the starter was locked up; i already had a new/reman OEM starter in the back of the truck)
installed the starter
disconnected the coil
spun the engine - no screeching!
Plugged the coil back in
started on the first crank
loads of mouse poop in the engine along the fenders
THIS time, no mouse poop inside; the bait inside was un rated, I guess the bounce sheet everywhere worked?
Damp and musty and "moldy" inside. Gonna need a full cleaning!
Now to find out what ELSE is broken/ needs maintenance
Sleeping 4Runner
Milford Cargo Grate
The Monster 5 inch Autometee Tach was removed when I did the SR5 cluster swap
It LIVES

Life intervenes...
We sold our "beater" car (1992 MKII VW Golf with lots of OEM upgrades) to a friend in need, so now I have an excuse to put the 4Runner back on the road....
Its not out of the barn yet but it now has all the legal paper work to be road driven
