ORANGE spark from coil

ORANGE spark from coil

I'm getting Orange spark from the coil and orange out of all plug wires on my 87 4-runner 22RE.Same thing with a different coil. 1 coil is Accel, 1 is MSD. Could it be the Igniter or Computer???????? THANKS

Are the plug wires really old? aftermarket?

Have tried 2-sets new wires,2-Dist. caps,2-rotor buttons.All new same problem.

Not to belabor the point, but were the sets you tried Toyota, or aftermarket?

Anyway, where are the sparks coming and going to? If it os grounding out ot the frame, I would suspect ground wires. What part of the coil is it coming from. If it were me, I would check all the gound cables and make sure they are tight, and have good terminals. THen if that doesnt work, I would order Toyota (denso or NGK or Aisin), whoever makes the coils, and replace them. I would replace the wires and plugs, too, and check my distributer cap to see if it was OK.
THis may all sound like throuwing darts at the problem, but that explains my name
