thanks gravehunter for the reassurance...i want to do it just dont know how difficult it will be you know....350 in an s10 is like spreading butter...especially since its fueled by a carb so its only 6 wires that run the motor.

I still think a 3.4l is underpowered.

What does it make like 15more hp than a 2.7l. lol.

Cool sounding s10 though.

depends on what year 350...you prob had 88-95 junk tbi...if you get the 70 lt1 its a 370hp factory motor came in 70 ss split bumper camaros...of course it was detuned to 330 in 71 but thats still not bad...my motor in my s10 is a gm goodwrench crate 350 that is the 300hp, but the truck weighs 2700 pounds and has no weight over the rear tires so it can fry them all day long

350 + 4.88's + 33's would be lovely in my 4Runner. Might be too much for the P/U though. 4Runner has 150 pounds of a$$ sag over rear tires.

Fillsrunner has done both swaps. It all depends on how much you want to spend and if you want to keep it all Yota. I'm doing a 3.4 in one of my 4runners and going to put a 4.0L Lexus V8 in my other one. The 3.4 mechanically is very easy only hard part is the wiring. Bellhousing match form the 3.0 to the 3.4.
