Nice looking truck. I'm a Mopar guy at heart, they make a damn good truck.

To keep on topic, one of my friends tried one of those eBay performance chips (resistors) on his Ford Ranger against my better advice, and all it did was make the engine run pig rich. They're a scam, and it honestly makes me angry to see the amount of people that buy them.

It makes the ECU think the intake air is colder than it actually is, so the ECU just dumps more fuel. On newer vehicles this will actually set an engine code when the ECU realizes that after sitting for several hours (cold start) the Coolant Temp Sensor and Intake Air Temp sensor don't agree (they should both read the same temp on a cold start)

Its a i.C from radio shack,ask him to show you a pic from the otherside,then go to Digikey and buy it for .35.
