Posted this in the electronics section and so far no luck with answers and it's holding up my finishing my rig.

I'm installing a hot shot kit and need to know which wire coming out of the ignition switch is the "start" wire. I read the FSM although it's for an 85 year model and my rig is an 89 (4runner, 22re) and have narrowed it down to either a black wire with a white stripe or a brown wire with a red stripe.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Shush... I did find out that the ST1 and ST2 wires end up in the same place on the loom so I vampired into the loom down stream of those two wires. So far so good.
