Ok, Ok we all know you SA boys can drop the front like 9 feet and have the rear end above your heads and still not have a pucker moment. But this poor Old almost forgotten about thread is about Us this time. The mighty IFS!!! So let us show off our 2" of travel it may not be much but were darn proud!!!

It's not the amount of travel you have it's the line you run!!! It keeps me smiling and the others with me screaming!!!

Playing in the back yard after I got the 33's. Really don't have any better...yet.

I love it. I can totally relate. When I run trails with other lightly modified rigs I love to watch good drivers conquer hard obstacles. Anyone can take a built up rig and step on the gas pedal. It's cool to have a rig that will do that but it's the challenge of pushing the envelope that keeps me going back every weekend.

When I started getting into wheeling I was in awe with the rigs running 42s, with massive flex, all tubed out (still am). It was just so freakin' boss to see a rig like that walk over not just big rocks but boulders.

It wasn't until I started running a lot more trails that I realized that bigger doesn't exactly equal more fun. There's kind of a sweet spot for the trails here in Colorado. If I had a tube buggy there's only about 6 trails that would be fun (Patriot, Penrose, 21, Independance, Carnage BV, Trough) The others would be like a (yawwwn) dirt road and I'd probably only make it out once a month if that. There are a bunch of mid to mid-upper rated trails out here so when we trip plan there are tons of options for a lightly modified rig. Stockers can join us on a lot of them too. It's a great time. I love the thrill of passing an obstacle that I'm not supposed to be able to. Maybe it's lame of me but I think IFS allows for more bragging rights.

Just this summer running Wheeler Lake, one of the SA guys looked at my rig and assumptively asked if I had lockers. When I said no, his reply was "So you just have the rear locker?" when I clarified that I was open/open his silence said it all. His expression when I took an ever so slightly different line but followed the same route was priceless. It was like he was looking at an alien, not sure about what he just witnessed. lol

So while I have the cash, and plenty of days when I get the urge to do a SAC, I also remember that for me having fun is what it's about and not having a bigger badder rig than the next guy. So I can dig it. A thread to let IFS shine is a cool idea. I'll take my rightful place under the king of the hill but also a small grin when I hear the SA guys bitch as we go down a bumpy road.
