I have 1990 3.0L oil leak just replaced heads, timing belt & water pump. Leaks in front of motor. No idea where it is coming from. Any ideas?

I'd guess the front main seal. If it's like a 22re motor then the seal is under the oil pump. I don't know anything about the 3.0 so I can't say for sure.

Is it slinging the oil around in the engine compartment?

Holy smokes!!!

Ok so the leak is at the front of the motor yes?

It's probably slinging oil all over the engine bay yes?

Take it to a car wash and blow the front of the motor off and as much as you can everywhere else. Drive it back home and crawl underneath it with it idling (neutral with the e-brake on or in park). I'm betting that you'll see oil coming out behind the crank pulley. I did some looking and as far as I can tell the oil pump on a 3.0 is behind that pulley. Your front main seal is back there also. Don't worry, it's easy as pie to change. I did mine (different motor) in about an hour.
