OEM Vinyl Floor?

After some oh - 27 years, the drivers side is all cracked etc.

After hearing about the horror stories about how the after market "kits" are basically a roll of vinyl and STILL cost $150 and up

Im wondering is the labor savings (throw it it and go) is worth the $100 more it might cost

(this post is mainly so I can find the link to the part number -

so - just for yucks - a local (to me) dealer's web site had an even lower price for the part so I ordered it on line with "free" delivery (to the dealer i.e. pickup)

5 min later I get an email saying that they refunded my money as the part is "NLA"
(surprise surprise)

So @Slacker

What are the options?
-- curse, and make the after market ones work?
-- heat gun the crap outta the after market ones?
-- cut and glue / sew one together
-- give up and use the carpet ones (are the carpet molded ones any better???

Yeah, it's a terrible fit. It is basically a flat piece with only a slight bump for the seat bump and a little raised in the back for the rear seats. If you heat it too much it will melt leaving a smooth surface easily visible from the rest of the textured areas. What I would do if I had to do it again would be to cut it in sections and then install. Trying to overlap where possible and gluing together.
