In my 1993 pickup that is having transmission problems I have run across yet another problem. The O/D light doesn't work. Where can I find the connection/fuse/bulb so I can make sure it is hooked up. I can turn the car on and push the O/D button in and out and the light doesn't come on. I have noticed that while driving that the button does have an effect. Higher RPMs when I turn O/D off lower RPMs when its on. But still no light. I would like to check for codes specific to the transmission.

your OD light bulb is probably burnt out. Take that dash apart and pull the instrument cluster. Your OD is definetly working.
