Noisy valves on high miler...any tips/tricks?
My '90 45runner,3VZE has just turned 230,000 miles today.
Runs pretty good except for the spark plugs fouling about every 3,000 miles. Which is believe could be due to some oil blow by into the cylinders.
Anyway...my valaves are noisey. So uch,I'm starting to think that someone jammed a sewing machine under my hood. I do realize that with the high milage...this is pretty common place and yes...i do know that a slight bit of this noise is amplified by the injecters as well.
I def. got valves chattering. I've had the head gaskets replaced a few years ago,but never had any head work done besides a little "decking" to make sure they are even. Which wasn't hardly anything that was noticeable.
Is their anything I could do to quiet them down? Are they adjustable w/out domino-ing other issues of engine performance? Additives that wouldn't kill the engine anytime soon?
This is my daily driver,so I'm questionable of additives as I know most are more harmful to the engine than they do good. I'm looking to get atleast another 60,000 miles on her yet. Which I knwo can be done w/ some tlc.
Thanks all!

Noooooooo...I dont wanna do that. It's running really good besides the noise. I'll deal with the noise before rebuilding, unless it's absoloutly necc.
