NO converter lockup.

93 4runner with 3.0, I cant get the converter to lock up while driving.
I hooked a direct 12 volt feed and the converter will lock up.I've changed the ECM,TPS, lockup shift solenoid,Computer shift lock control, brake switch, # 1 speed sensor.Went thru the test procedure and the TPS and brake switch sequenceand all is working.

disconnect ur cruise control ecu (its behind the driver side kick panel, just below the fuse block), and take her for a ride...... I had same problem a few years ago... the cc ecu took some water, and shorted.... took me about 3 weeks to fig that little bit out...

NO codes,I hooked a hot wire to the coverter,Drove it and had a passanger apply power toe the solenoid. It locks up.CHeckek voltage coming off the computere.the lock up occurs and all different points while driving.20 mph,55mph,61 mph, and will cut in and out at different speeds.Tried it with the cruise computer unpluged, and pluged up.WIll drop the circut when the brake pedal is pushed.
