New so be gentle... 93 vs 94 service manual

I'm new to the forum and have a 94 4runner V6 4x4 AT. I have a 1993 Toyota Service Manual. Other than body panels ect. is there any reason I should invest in a 94 service manual? I do not plan on engine rebuilds but would need info for general repairs like a starter, alt etc. maybe some top end work. I will use it for drive train and suspension and brakes. The 93 seems to have everything I need but, I don't know what (if any) changes are in the 94 manual. Your suggestions are appreciated. QuietGiant.

pretty much the same as far as I know, the mechanicals will be the same, most of the changes were from 92 to 93 & those were cosmetic

The ABS switched from rear wheel only to 4 wheel in either 94 or 95, and the a/c may be R134A instead of R12. Apart from that I can't think of any differences. I used a 95 manual for my 93 and didnt find too many differences.

the cosmetic changes were from 91 (which had the square headlights and spare tire on tailgate) to 92 (which has the aero headlights and the spare tire beneath the truck) and ABS switched to 4 wheels instead of rear in 94'. Those are the only differences i have a 93 manual for my 92 and its basically the same so you should be good.

Thanks for the input. Very helpful. By the way, I searched online for other 4runner forums and posted the same question on three of them. No replies on any. It is obvious to me that this forum has active members who seem to know which end of the screw driver to use. Very encouraging. I hope to hang around here and participate more often in the future. Thanks again. QuietGiant

The headlight switch was not a good thing imo. I just had to replace one due to a 2x4 hitting the front of my truck at 70mph. Gotta love unsecured loads on semi/tractor/trailer rigs Cost me 140 dollars for the little bastard from a JUNKYARD. I then went to schucks to price a new one (from whomever they order theirs from) and guess what...141 dollars.

Anyway, welcome to the forums! And to clear the record, I believe it was '95 that got the ABS, because mine is a '94 and I only have rear.
