Oh yeah and I finally remembered to check my gearing code on my VIN plate tonight and found out that my truck has 4:56 gears so that explains why I have the high RPM's when running 60 on the highway. The 4:56's should also help with pulling the 285's as well. I am ready to get this thing on it's way to being ready to wheel.

Hlpressley, I was just wondering about the es3000. Will shocks for a 4" lift fit with just the 2" spacers? I just got my bj and coil spacers and am trying to pick some shocks but I wasn't sure if the 4" lift shocks would fit. Are you running just a 2" spacer lift with the 4" lift es3000?

Yes, I am running the ES3000 shocks for 4" lift all the way around with 4crawler BJ spacers in the front and LC coils in the rear. They seem to be working fine but I really haven't driven it that much but that will change this weekend when the new tires and wheels and mounted.

Ok, I am getting ready to order my shocks this weekend when I get paid. Do they look like they'll compress enough?

I think you can get the brake line extenders from Northwest offroad. I've got Ranchos front and rear, and I like them. They do their job.

They appear as though they will be fine but I can't be certain as I have only driven the truck about 30 miles with them on. That will change after I get my wheels, tires, and alignment tomorrow.

I got my tires and wheels mounted and the truck looks much better. It still has a long way to go but we are getting there. I had to work later than I thought so it was dark when we rolled it out of the tire shop so no pics...sorry. However, I did sneak this teaser pic in while it was on the lift getting an alignment...

More and better pics coming tomorrow......

Lookin good man...I'm sure you posted it and I'm just dumb for not remembering/looking what size BJ spacers do you have? I'm thinking using 2.5 on mine to go with my LC coils that I have now.

Thanks for the compliment. It is getting there....

I have the 1.5" ones that Roger Brown (4crawler.com) sells. It certainly appears as though it gave more than 1.5" of lift though. I should have got a measurement before and after.

How was your alignment after putting in the BJ spacers? I'm debating where I'm going to install my spacers, my dad has a nice shop but he is 3 hours away in the middle of no where. I dont know if the alignment will be good enough to drive back that far.

Looks like I will be buying a new camera because I can't seem to get mine to work properly since my 5 year old thought it would make a cool football. Here are a few pics that I took with the phone....

And of course what good would this thread be without a few poser pics...

The truck sits a good bit lower in the front than the rear and to be honest it is driving me crazy. I plan to do a diff drop spacer next week and crank the t-bars enough to get it close to level. My theory is the BJ spacers are 1.5" and I am having no issues now so I should be able to crank that 1" back via the t-bars to get the truck level. Am I off here or does this sound right?

Next on the mod list will be painting the hood a semi-gloss black. I had seriously debated getting it painted professionally since it looks pretty bad (clear is gone) but I just can't see spending that much money right now knowing that I need lots of other things for the truck before Spring wheeling season. If I end up liking the black hood I may just take it in and have it Line-X'd but as I said that will be later on after the other mods to make this a capable trail rig. I went by today and talked to my bumper guy (http://www.marsfab.com/) and he will be starting on my front and rear bumpers as well as my Smittybuilt XRC 10 winch. I really hate to wait until April but he is booked up until then. In the meantime I will be installing my Surco safari rack with lights mounted on top, rock sliders (AP or TG), Aussie locker in the rear, along with several other small thing like a new headunit and speakers, CB etc.

I will update the thread as my progress continues...hopefully with better pics from an actual camera.

Looks GOOD!

I can't wait till I get enough money to do LC Coils, BJ Spacers, tires and shocks!

How much did the shocks, coils, spacers, & pan hard run you?

Thanks for the compliments guys. I spent most of my free time this weekend working on the truck. I was able to get the following done..

-removed SR5 stripes (looks much better)
-sanded and painted hood with Rust-Oleum bedliner coating
-replaced bushings for the front sway bar mount

I will be installing my Yakima Loadwarrior as well as the Hella 500FF lights by this weekend. I also hope to be able to get the diff drop installed and crank the t-bars a bit to get it closer to level. I plan to paint my rockers with the same Rust-Oleum stuff that I used on my hood as well. I really like the look of this stuff and it goes on super smooth and easy. It matches the dark green paint and black wheels great. My Aisin manual hubs should arrive soon as well so those will be going in when I get them.

Shopping list...

Aussie locker for the rear
Wabfab 60" sliders
Winch mount front bumper (I hate waiting)
Smittybuilt XRC10 w/synthetic line
Custom rear bumper (once again..I hate waiting)

Lets see a pic of the hood. I'm thinking about doing the same thing, my hood and one fender are almost completely without clear coat.
