Since he said FlowmasterS I'm going to assume a 3.0... If not, I don't know why he would have two mufflers on a 22R... Thats just my guess... If I can't see the rattle, or hear it, I can't fix it, just turn the radio up until you can't hear it.

but hes talking about a timing chain being new so i assume its a 22re. i would check the valves to make sure they are adjusted properly.

Yes, but I know alot of people who think the 3vze has a timing chain. Common mistake.

But if we are indeed talking about a 22re, how long has it been since the timing chain was replaced?

People thinking that the 3vze has a timing chain, but we all know that it has a belt.

hehe, jay reread your op! check for a loose heat shield, there are a few of them, open the hood and take a listen in the bay. use a long screw driver like a stethoscope to check the valve cover(s) and block. the 3vz-e is a non-interference engine that uses a timing belt, 22-re IS an interference engine using a timing chain.

good hunting and let us know what you find out.

Might also check the cat. While back I started to hear a faint rattle when I would get on the gas and could find it coming from the engine anywhere. Started to get louder and louder and noticed my mpg going down. Found out the cat was bad replaced it all was good.

sorry it is a 3.0 6 banger has new timing belt the motor runs good I just wanted to know if anyone has had the same thing happen to them sounds like its coming from the top of the valve area near the throttle should I put her in the shop or just turn the radio up like I said no change in the performance. Also I am new to yotas an love them but i have been told they will make all kinds of noise but just keep on running fine
