new fan clutch - performance loss?

just got a new fan clutch and my truck feels like it gained 500lbs. at least it is keeping a cool head.
i feel like im driving in peanut butter.
does anyone feel they gained performance by going to an electric fan?
think i might have radiator flushed or replaced just to know for sure.
perhaps the fan clutch is always locked is because the radiator is not pulling its fair share.
feel like i should err on the side of extreme caution when it comes to a 3.0 and the cooling system.
still seems too hot sometimes after a restart, though it cools down quickly now.

Sounds like the fan is on a lot? I think mine's been on only a handful of times (except for when it starts up) during normal driving conditions when it was pretty hot outside. So if it is on a lot, I think something is wrong.
