New exhaust!

New exhaust!
A few days ago I put a full exhaust on my truck. Here it is. The sound doesn't do it any justice when i rev up the engine but here it is anyways.
Best 200 i've spent yet!
The exhaust is a full 2 1/2 inch and it goes from my downey header to a high flow cat which then goes to a 14 inch magna flow muffler and a 4 inch tip. I'm in love. hahah
Let me know what you guys think!

I have a feeling, as you have said, that the ricey'ness is coming from the sound clip.
The first rev sounded really good.
I'm desperately needing to redo my exhaust on my '85 - I may end up going with either a 14" or 18" Magnaflow and the high flow cat.
Glad you're happy with it!

DAMN..that sounds deep!!!..yeah its definately the camera makin it sound WAY ricey..
what's the model number for the Magnaflow????this might just be my new system..lmao
also, did you notice a power difference with the 2.5" rather than the stock pipe size..i was thinkin about 2.25" to keep some backpressure(no cat here)..and if the 2.5" doesnt mess with the power too much i'll get it..because it sounds SOOOO much better
this is probably THE BEST exhaust system i've heard on a 4cyl toyota..

why would you want backpressure?
That does sound good though...i need to do something like that, but need to get a header first...whatd you do for the bends? Bring them somewhere, or do them yourself?

well i found out first hand that a little backpressure is your friend on these little 4cyl yota motors..
i had the full stock exhaust when i got my '86..and it would destroy tires (burnout) LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW!..
i put my header on..therefor i removed all the stock exhaust....tried to do a burnout...and it would NOT do it..at all..and would barely spin a tire on gravel..
when i got my exhaust welded up..then it would..therefore for LOW END TORQUE..you need some backpressure...now if your gonna be running in high RPMS most of the time..then by all means run a 3in exhaust..but your low end torque and take off power will suffer (of course you're Turbo'd..so idk bout that..lol)
*EDIT* o yea..i found about 6 or so different mufflers (14" 2.5"in and 2.5" out)...which one..lmao..need a number on it...lol

no, i disagree with you all. Backpressure is bad...you need velocity (not backpressure) to keep the exhaust gas moving at a constant speed to the exit of the exhaust at lower rpms. So, the loss of torque has nothing to do with backpressure, and everything to do with gas velocity. You want exhaust parts that are the right size for your application. There is a scavenging effect that engines create at low rpms, those pulses act like a vacuum. It helps "pull" the exhaust out of the system. Now at higher rpms, this scavenging effect is greatly reduced. Also, turbo cars/trucks are not the same either, the turbo in the system gets rid of those pulses, so therefore they can use a bigger diameter pipe after the turbo and not see these lower rpm issues. Let's put it this way, you want a smaller pipe for low rpm (not because of back pressure, but for velocity) and at high rpm you want a large diameter pipe to let gases flow as fast as they can out of the exhaust. You have to have a happy medium.

Also, I am looking for my order form to get you that part number camo. I'll let you know as soon as I find it. I looked on the muffler and nothing is there so hang tight until i find my order form.
Also I've included a few photo's of what it looks like under the truck as well so ENJOY!
