So I bought this 95 4runner off a guy who works with us on contract, love the lil thing more than my old blazer. A few issues but I can fix. What i cant fix is the vacuum system. Hoses have screws in them to cap them. Sensors were detached. Hoses cut in random spots.
Currently I've spent 3 days looking at diagrams n gave up cause I'm not seeing any in reference to my problem, and I already got alot of help from this forum just viewing it. I'll post pics when it stops raining of my problems. But in short, I have an idle bounce, maybe 100 rpm each way randomly. Not rough or anything just, there. A misfire I can hear, and I've stalled out 2 times putting the brakes down. Theres a line that is on the passanger side that when taken off its bolt, chokes and kills my engine. Its in between the line that runs out then back into the block, and above some sort of lil canister, not the charcoal, and left of a 3 prong vacuum group. Like I said I'll post pics when it stops raining but I need to get it running to have it checked over at a shop itself. N right now I cant trust it crossing the street.
I'm gonna attach 2 pics of my problem areas. Both are cut and bolted. I cant find them on any diagrams.
Thank you

Reason: Not descriptive to the problem
Looks like your PAIR and PCV systems are disabled..
I see a filter sticking out of the valve cover, and the check valve you're holding should be on the PAIR vacuum switch valve bases on the diagram, but it seems like the wrong size hose.
Poking @Scope can probably shed some light on it for you
The first 3 pictures are the a/c idle up and power steering idle up. They are both 1/4in hoses. The hose starts at the air cleaner- goes under the intake manifold- then branches to a/c valve and power steering- then from these components to the intake manifold. They feed the intake more air when those systems are under load. These are both metered air meaning the air passes through the air flow meter then to the components. You can block then off at the intake manifold if you want but all so need to block port on air intake.
It is critical to have no air leaks between the air flow meter and the throttle body. Remove and inspect the air intake parts for cracks especially the ribbed portion attached to the throttle body.
The last picture is a vacuum line that feeds one of the vsv switches. They are mounted pretty tight to the fender. There is a vacuum diagram in the top part of this form. Look for the service manual stickie and go to your engine. Look at everything under mpfi. Lots of great info there.

I'm missing my owner's manual and I've seen that diagram but it doesnt really address that line I zipptied to try n figure it out. I caved to taking it to a shop to have them look it over. They cant figure it out because the previous owner took the bulb or it burned out, of the check engine. According to them that closes the circuit so they cant run codes? I have to take valve covers off soon anyways, they spotted leaks in the backs of them, so I'm gonna do that rather take their qoute on it. I'll also be able to take more pics I think while I'm labeling the lines so I dont mess them up reassembling
