Need some wisdom

Hey guys I have a 92 std cab pu. I also have a mild 302 that I want to put in it. Realistically its probably 260 to 275 horse. Im using a fresh r150 from the v6 with a 4 cylinder tcase. Should be good there as Im not too much of a wheeler here. The 4 banger just doesnt like a bike trailer. Anyone have any ideas as to what to do for the front suspension? I have SDORI BJ spacers on there but what kind of torsion bars will hold up to the added weight of the 302? Or should I pony up for aluminum heads

v6 Torsion bars a bit thicker and can hold more weight. Downey makes a heavy dutry set too.

Run a forum search on HD torsion bars and you'll turn up a lot of info.

You might want to run a v6 rear third member aswell. A bit stronger then the 4cyl unit.

just the thirds are different. you can put a v6 third in a truck that came with a 4cyl third and vice-versa. (as far as i know)

Yeah the downey torsion bars are 26mm, the OME are 23.8mm (I think) and the stock bars are 22.? mm. So for a v-8 at least the OME or the downey.
