My 92 sr5 v6 Toyota 4runner hood is stuck, I've tried several different things to open it but to no avail.. I really could use some help figuring out how to open it.. Thanks in advance

 

Have you tried having someone hold the release lever in the open position while you lift up and down on the hood? The hood on my 90 runner sometime won't open until I do this.

Are you sure the cable and mechanism are functioning ? Can you hear the latch release ?

 

If the cable is not broken !!

Get help to lift up on the hood while the cable is pulled

Can`t get help I have used vice grips to keep tension on the cable.
