Need ideas on oil sludge I think...
I believe I have a bad case of oil build up. The oil pan seems to have a good amount of oil in it, but when I look inside the valve cover it is almost full to the brim with oil. All I could think of is blockage due to sludge. Any ideas and solutions?

Honestly?
Pull the head and go get it tanked. Any of the oil flush products are likely to cause more problems than they're worth. When the head gets so junked up that the oil won't go down you have a bunch of tiny clogged oil passages too. I had an old cutlass that was like that and I dumped a can of flush in it when I first started driving. The flush broke up big chunks of the sludge and then they clogged up everything. We ended up rebuilding the engine right then because everything started tapping and knocking. Getting everything tanked was the only way to open it all back up again.
