So i just installed the all the SR5 options from a 91 4Runner into my 89 pickup. Everything work great besides the mirrors and the lights on the doors. Mirrors dont work but i narrowed that down to the mirror switch. But with the lights on the door i cannot figure out what wire needs to go where. I have the black and yellow wire and when i ground that wire the lights come on but will always stay on. and when i connect it to the black and yellow wire on the truck the light i very dim. When its plugged into the truck i tested the plug at the door and both terminals show power hence why i grounded one of them... just need help to see where this BLACK and YELLOW wire goes.....

Would be nice to have a step by step sticky on transferring all the bells and whistles from the 2nd gens to the first. I have window problems. More 2nd gen trucks to scavenge from.

 

yea i guess i could do a write up...... i would like to figure out everything first....
