I have an 1988 4Runner SR5. The windows in the doors quit working.
I tested my window switch with ohem meter and it checks out to be a good switch. I just direct connected window motor to battery and its good. I tested fuse box breaker and it is good. I bought a control module that supposedly is a good one and I still can't get my windows up.
I am lost?

Dust or corrosion on the contacts in the switch. I replaced the master control switch and had to clean the passenger side switch to fix mine.

Do you hear a click around the passenger kick panel when using the switch?

I had an issue with my passenger window not working. had to take apart and clean the master switch and also the passenger switch to get it working.

No noise coming from pass, side kick panel. I think it is not getting the power to control module when ignition is turned on, Does any one if the black and yellow wire is the power wire from the ignition?

Such is life!!

if I knew what window you were trying to trouble shoot I could tell you what to check.

just what voltage do you get at the motor ??

Some of these windows will only work with the door switches open.

Your Door relay had failed so you bought a used one did you test this before installing ??

I could not figure out how to test relay. So I eneded up by passing module and windows work all the time without having key on. But hey they work.
