need help with 89 4runner!

iv got the 89 4runner V6 3VZE and im guna buy a full engine rebuild kit which pistons are included, and i wanted to know if im gunna half to bore out the cylinders?? and i have a squeeling squeak noise comeing from where it sounds like the belts and fan are, any advice?? thanks

On my 1990 4runner there is a squeaking coming from the same place. This is because my alternator bearings are shot so you might be in the same boat. As for the cylinder boreing, you have to take it apart to find out. A honing of the cylinder sleeves might be in order but if you bore them the pistons from the kit may not work.

ok ill give that a check,, so i should just order the pistons standard size??, cause there guna ask me what size i need.

i mean my altinator is only about 5 months old but ill give that a check,, so i should just order the pistons standard size??, cause there guna ask me what size i need.

you dont order the kit until the machine shop tells you what size piston to order. Period.

If it was me i'd take it apart first. But if it's not blown up you should be okay I would think.

well i wana take it apart to find out but im not to sure how to yet like doing the whole thing cause im more use to the 22re's,, i dont wana screw anything up u know.
