Okay so im gettin ready to got for a long weekend camping trip and the day before i leave my engine starts knocking and losing power, so i drive home and by the time i get there (5 minute drive) it starts smoking out white, not oil cuz it didnt stink or look blue at all. I bring it around to the garage and it wont idle, smokes so much it hides the truck. Its a 1988 22re 4runner and i was hoping you might have an idea of what the problem is???

 

Head Gasket....

 

motor going south!! if it's got the knock, might have bent a rod with all that water getting dumped in. I say pull it out tear it down and share some pictures

 

ya im definatly tearing it down cuz ive got nothing else to do with my time off work now
