UPDATEEEEEEEEEEEE!

All fiberglass bondo is done and smooth, regular bondo is almost done.
One more night of working on it and she'll be ready for paint!!!
If all goes to plan, painting will be done next wednesday or thursday.
I expect to have her on the road in two weeks.

Also probably getting new tires, so that means burning off the old ones...

Were rockguarding the whole thing now, I'm plum crazy about it.

Sadly, I couldn't find any batteries for my camera, so no pics tonight

There is tons, almost half of the door is bondo .

But it is looking factory shape, just a little bit off in some places, I do wish I still had my good body lines, but that's what you get when you crash.

I went through the same tedious process when I fixed my bed. It took me three months of working on it everynight after work to get it done, and a year later, the bondo is starting to bubble already. It's a painstaking process, but you'll get a ton of compliments when it's done.

UPDATE!

All bondo is finnished, done, over.
We're doing the final windshield fitting tomorow.
When the weather warms up it'll be primed, rock guarded and painted, then the windsheild will be set.

Also, Friday I'm getting new tires, 31x10.5x15

Sorry no pics of late, but I assure you, it looks amazing.

nice job w/ the body repair. wanna do my truck next?

just a thought...
i don't know if i would hang the exhaust directly to the frame. shouldn't there be some type of vibration dampener in there? (leather, rubber, etc.) maybe i'm wrong...

There should be a rubber dampener. but we used what was lying around, I do have the rubber hangers still and all the factory mounts are in place in case I want to route the exhaust out the side.
Right now it'll be fine as is, but if rattleing shows up I probably will dampen it.

Thanks for the comments!
It's been a LOT of work.

Tomorow I'll get some better pics of it in the sunlight.
In the shade it looks black and in the sun it's a dark purple.

Set windsheild, put on new mirrors welded the taillights on, and re-connected the fuel lines.
