My pulley is broke? What is it called?

Oh! I got one last question on this subject for now.
With that not spinning will that keep the engine from cranking over. Cause the whole belt isnt spinning? ( that belt goes to the alternator and power steering pump) After it broke down it started up one more time to get me off the trail but after that it wouldnt crank all the way over.

That pulley is a pivot point for belt coming from the crankshaft to your alternator. from my local dealership, that pulley runs for $758. not to mention labor of replacing. It is a pain to get to, you have to remove the timing belt cover, and all belts, also helps to remove the fan shroud. A 10mm socket will be your friend. I had to replace mine last year. since, I have go to the junkyard and picked up a couple more just in case. One there set me back $5.
