My New Custom Tire Carrier
Copying the design of CBI's carrier, but with no hinge:
Made from a combination of 2" O.D. square tube, a length of 2" receiver tube for the tire to slide into, and some nuts and bolts to tighten it all down. Here are some pics. This thing is stout and sturdy:
A buddy of mine in our local club welded it up...I love the way it came out. The angle of the tire is to match the angle of the back window on my Bestop Supertop...that has yet to show up...it should come out close enough I'm sure.
