How can i tell if my head gasket is on its way out. the reason i ask is cus my engine wont burp. when it overheats i can hear a gurgling from under the hood. ive tryed everything to get vapour out. i constantly hear gurgling from the heater core as well.

 

Do you have mixing of oil and coolant? Or are you having to consistently add coolant? Another sign would be white smoke out your tailpipe.

that gurgling is it when you over heat? because if so thats probably your radiator. yea but moking out your tailpipe would be a good way to check. ummm then you might try a compression test...im not sure about that one so anyone else
