My GF drove my truck and now..
You d never guess.. It drives better than before!!
Basically she screwed up starting it with her foot on the gas all the way and said it revved like "craaaaaazy" for a few seconds. Very Scary like a beast she said
Now I notice at 60mph I cruise around 2600rpm, before I was closer to 2900... Did she serve it an Italian tune-up?

It just does not work like that
Engine and road speed are a function of the gear ratios (tires, differential, transmission). You are possibly remembering incorrectly, something is loose (like your tach signal), or was loose (like your transmission solenoid connectors).
Get a gear ratio calculator and run your equipment specs. This will tell you where the rpms should be for a given road speed.

I laughed when I first read this story, but my thinking was along the lines of Co_94_PU.
If you're 300 rpm lower at the same speed, it means your girlfriend got you some bigger tires and you didn't notice (unlikely), or differentials with a lower gear ratio (who knows, maybe she wrenches and wanted your truck to get better fuel economy on the highway?) Either of those changes would cause a noticeable drop in power.
You could swap in a 500 hp big block v8 but if you kept your old tires, gears, t-case and transmission you'd be in the same rpm at 65 mph in 5th gear as you were with a 22re. More power will make engine rpm and moving speed increase faster, but always together.
If your numbers are right, you're a very lucky man because after the guilt of blowing up your engine she: changed your diffs overnight and completed some major engine work (stroked crank, h-beam rods, forged pistons, arp studs, over-sized valves, port work and a mild rv cam). Oh wait, I'm projecting my own dream again... you're actually suffering from wishful thinking.

Maybe your tach is off now...or your truck is suffering from estrogen poisoning (my best guesses).
