Cruise control shift _too much

My A340F +3.4 auto shifts early and stays in too long, coming out with a hard shift, quite often. Found a lot of threads and acknowledge my 190HP doesn't excel on hills but feel this problem is either adjustment (from wear), shift point programming or poor connections. Going to scan it and adjust it.
Glad you got yours going, had a similar problem with my parking brake switch causing it too fail but it works fine now, excepting the downshift on the slightest hill. @ 313 thousand now and the best thing I've done for the tranny is flush torque converteer et Al(7.6 qt.) ,& filter. Thinking of changing thermostat down some (hot is our problem, with transmissions and Florida)as well as flushing & coolant change. Excuse the rambling, hermits in the woods syndrome.
