i had this for a long time... it was this little metal clip that helps you masure how much brake pad you have left or helps get it off, i am not sure. Anyway, it was rubbing on the rotor as i drove. but it is a small piece, like a paper clip so it just made a annoying squeek.

Those little metal clips are there to warn you that the pads are getting to their wear limit. Pull the wheels and check the pads, they'll probably be ready for replacement.

i have replaced the pads since then, I was just saying that they can become bent and rub on things causing a squeak but mine didn't squeak when I was going under 25. Thanks for the heads up on the clips; I knew they were for something.
