my $100 3vze long block
hi everyone, I was surfing CL yesterday and found this long block 3vze for $100. I am going to used the heads and the infectors on my 95 4runner.....this block have a broke main bearing cap....can you replace this part from another engine?

Kind of, but it probably shouldn't be done. Normally those are machined to fit only the location they're originally made for. You would have to plastiguage everything in order to make sure it would have the proper oil clearance.
I think this is the funniest typo of yours I've seen yet: "the infectors on my..." That conjures up some really bad images, like a bad sci-fi movie. What would an infector look like?

Great find! Yeah, if you replace the main bearing caps, they have to be line bored & honed to fit the block. It can be done, but if the clearances don't match up perfect it will most likely end up destroying the block (eventually - could last 1, 100 or 1,000,000 miles...)

update: too lazy to work on the car the last couple of weeks... I am going to order the left headdgasket and headbolts today from autorock. also I need to replace a few nuts from the exhaust pipe....I still have to take off the left head from the block....
