Mustang Seats in 93 Pick-Up
#26
So to the OP, is that 40/60 split bench a direct bolt in for a non-lean back bench in my 93 reg cab? Cause if its in good shape and the bottom cushion still "cushiony" I might take it off your hands.

update: this weekend, i'm working on getting the second seat in. it's more tricky than the last. i made a bar that goes along the back with two bolts welded up. in the front of the seat, only one hole lines up. so i'm making a small bracket for the other side. the tracks mount to the seat in the exact same way the driver's seat does. i'm even going to re-install the driver's side slide adjustment lever, as it's loose now.
and before someone says: "pics?"--- i'll have them up tomorrow or monday

time for pics:
getting the rails to fit the seat is the same as the driver's side: tap the furthest back holes and elongate the track holes slightly. then extend the adjustment lever. (i re-mounted the driver's side because it was loose. it's the uglier of the 2 welds)
slight bending of the cross-piece

and the modified adjustment levers

ready to paint

now for the brackets i used

the one hole that lines up. it's the highest, so i had to use it as the start point to use as few brackets as possible

aaand paint (self-etching black)

trimmed bolts

and now to install

ta-da!

and i tried moving the driver's seat, but it sat diagonal and lop-sided, so i just painted those brackets, too

all the seat stuff is inside the cab. unless your floor is wet when it rains, there shouldn't be too much (if any) rust. i never painted the first brackets i made, and they never rusted in the cab, mounted. i bet your bench is fine, too.

thanks yeehaw. i need to get a picture up of the two with both seat covers on (they look ok as-is, but they match). it's nice to finally have a matching set
next on the list: i might put the jump seats back in... not sure yet.

hair over a hundred. the guy i bought them from wanted 150 for the front and rear, but i talked him into just the fronts
i don't know if these will work too well with a single cab, but if someone wants to come over, it'll take 5 minutes to swap the seats and find out. i'm about 6'2" and these seats are comfy. i've fallen asleep easily (never while driving). love 'em.

Looking nice, man! Wow, that's a good looking interior.... Love the Shifter Set up(w/out the console section like my 4Runner has).... it looks CLEAN!
Seat covers are nice, enjoy!
PS> I keep hearing that 90-95 4Runner seats bolt RIGHT IN on my rig.... Even found a thread. Just trips me out, as I've measured the bolt holes twice and could have SWORN it was different! lol.

Those seats look fantastic man, i've got to ask though, what model mustang were those out of? I've been looking for three months for a set and still haven't found them. I'm starting to get that itch to finish the truck since i got new front fenders.
