mods????
I have a 93 toyota pickup 3.0L. I was wondering what some mods people have done to their trucks. I was just curious about lifts, shocks, brakes, winches and things like this. Also some custom mods would be greatly appreciated such as custom bumpers and some pics would help. I appreciate all of the help. THANKS

Not trying to be an ass but have you looked in the gallery?? There's about 8 million different things you can do to your rig and your question is very vague.. Id suggest poking around in some threads and the gallery.. Google is also your friend..

Spring for a turbo kit, which a couple of guys on here have been talking about, though you'd have to search to find them, as I didn't pay too much attention.
Or, swap in a 3.4L from a newer model truck.
And, I'll put this out there before anyone posts up to do them, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, WASTE MONEY ON EXHAUST OR INTAKE MODIFICATIONS. THEY DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I got suckered in by all the hype about headers and exhaust and CAI, and blah blah blah, and spent money on all of it. Now i have zero power increase, zero mpg increase, and a whole bunch of money down the crapper.

my brother lives in manhattan. works at chi omega as the executive chef. i grew up in Overland Park. 33x11.5 may fit. may have to do some pinch weld smacking with a hammer. may rub at full lock. someone else may chip in.

I eventually added bj spacers to keep rubbing to a minimum except when fully compressed. Overall running about 4.5" of lift over stock, 5" in the rear.
If you do a body lift aftermarket bumpers will no longer fit your truck. I got a marlincrawler rear bumper modded to fit my truck, looks great! (tons of pictures of all my mods on my cardomain page, link in my sig)
As for engine mods.. I really wouldnt waste your time. A nice catback exhaust might free up a little power, but not much. I have done a few mods to my engine, not too impressed. Its a good engine but it really doesnt except mods too well. If you want good power, save up for a swap. The 3.4L is quite popular, and in all honesty pretty easy. Im going for the v8 route though (1uzfe).

Nope nothing you can do to these rigs.

Quit being lazy and look for yourself.
Go do this mod right now it's free!

33's will fit with a 2" body lift. I ran that set up for 4 years. Your gas mileage and power will suck with 33's and stock gears. To fix that you need to regear. Oh and while you have the diffs apart add lockers. After you destroy your IFS then you can SAS it. After you SAS it leafs will get old so then your gonna need to do a 4link. After you 4 link it your probably gonna want to cut off all the sheet metal and make it into an FTOY. After you do that... oh never mind

I have a 92 pickup 3.0 5 speed.
I really have grown fond of this rig, as
it is extremely capable and a fun truck to drive.
As far as mods, there really are alot of different
routes you can head down.
People seem to like the catback systems on these trucks.
Be careful here, though. If you want it to sound good,
just get a muffler and high-flow cat. The power gains
from a catback setup are minimal.
As soon as I get the money, I'm getting
headers and deeper gears. Two mods that seem to yield
pretty nice performance gains.
What are doing with this truck? Daily driver,
mall-crawler, trail rig, hunting rig? What conditions
you use your truck under have a big impact on how
you spend money upgrading it.

It will be used for a hunting rig some and mudding. We do some coyote hunting so it will be used for that a little bit. I also want to be able to take it and go mudding with my roomate. He has a 93 chevy extended cab with 38x15.50's on it.

that was sarcasm. id get familiar with it if you are going to be posting in online forums.
