I have a 1989 Pickup that was recently repainted. The power mirrors are not working and it seems to me that a connector piece was lost at the body shop. Here are pictures:
The above pic shows the harness connector and the mirror switch. The connector pins match but the connector does not engage with the mirror switch. I'm pretty sure there must be a missing piece.
This is a picture of the power window connector to switch. I'm guessing that I'm missing something similar to the yellow piece with the arrow. The switch is still available but the dealership parts guy was certain it didn't include any extra connector. And I can't really find a clear picture of the harness connector(s).
Could somebody with a pickup or 4Runner with power windows/mirrors take a picture of this area? to remove the switch plate, just pull up on the front edge of the plate and pull forward.
Well I don’t have power mirrors and I’m no help BUT nothing like a fresh paint job!!! Let’s see some pics of this gem
Possible the connector fell way down in the door? I would imagine it’s all on the same harness but again I’m just guessing since I don’t have anything power in my truck.
I love the wing windows - reminds me of my mother's '74 Dodge Dart. They do make it hard to find parts that are unique to those windows (weatherstripping for example) because they made so few. And I *think* 89 was the only year for the sunroof.
There are a few other features that I think were ended after '89. I have an alloy spare tire (original rubber - I'm in denial). And the headliner is a nice vinyl, not fabric.
