missing lines!?

I have this vacuum line here that is missing and i dont know where it goes to. I have it plugged with this very high tech ear plug from work. I am a "learning" mechanic so I am not too sure but i was wondering if it is where the pcv hose goes? There is no hose on my pcv valve....speaking of which i need to replace. And I have found that to be a very big pain in the posterior section of the anatomy of a human being just from searching the threads. Any help would be awesome. Thank you!!!

That is the fitting for the brake booster hose. The hose is located along the firewall and goes across to the booster.

so then my brake booster hose (right under my index finger in the photo) is in the incorrect spot? I shall relocate that. I have been having alot of oil issues as well. (burning and leaking from ...well i cant tell thanks for the clutter of the engine compartment but looks like the rear of the passenger side valve cover. Could all this be related? Also, the booster line...is that on the pcv location in the photo?

Yes, you have the brake booster hose on the PVC fitting. This thread identifies where all the hoses on the passenger side go:

The first post has a photo (left photo) that has all the fittings numbered. In post #11 all the hoses are identified as to location.

Burning oil usually from either worn rings or worn valve stem seals. You might get the latter to tighten up by using MaxLife 10W-40 - it stopped leaks in my front & rear main seals (after about 2-3 weeks).

Also, if the PCV is not currently feeding into the plenum, that may be causing pressure to build up in the crankcase, greatly increasing exterior leaks. Getting that routed correctly into the plenum may also help the leaking situation.
