Messed up idle on 92 22re

I have a 1993 toyota pickup with the 22re and I have never had the best idel it's always been to low or two high so I bought a big bore throttle body from lc engineering along with the cold air intake and I hooked it up and when it reved up to 2k rpms it would drop down to like 1k rpms so I read some forms and people said unplug your throttle position sensor and I did and that allowed it to Rev up regularly but the idel speed is all over the place like up to 2.5k, also I bench tested old throttle position sensor and couldn't get it to pass, has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do, anything helps I'm 17 and trying to learn

If your TPS is bad you need to replace it, It is a critical part for your engine to run right.

I would also look into your idle air control valve (IACV). The TPS and IACV play a huge part in how the engine idles.

I totally agree with Scope... advance your timing and see what happens.
IF it doesn't change anything then put it back where it was. Doesn't cost anything...
