Actually a lot of master cylinders are interchangeable. The ones I absolutely know of- If you own any of these vehicles the brake master is interchangeable:Toyota supra 81-85 possibly MK2's, any pickup/4runner 4cyl or 6cyl, fj40 with disc front brakes, fj60, turbo trucks, and I'm pretty sure an fj80 master will fit your booster as well. You will more than likely have to play with pedal adjusment if you use a master for a different model. You are talking brake master and not clutch master correct? In some swaps you might have to tweak your brakelines a little but they should all work, at worst you may have to bend a new brakeline or just use a coupler and make an extension if you want to do it on the cheap and easy.

yeah thats all i was wondering, i just have a brand new one in my 89 6cy pick up and they look identical almost i believe to my 94 4runner master cylinder. thanks for the info, im assuming it should work out, both trucks are both 6cy 4x4 with equal stopping power so i guess it should be fine

How did you go about adjusting your pedal?

Im having an issue with mine currently.. I took the master cylinder AND booster out of my 1987 Supra parts car. Both of mine in my 87 truck were either failed or leaking. They both fit perfectly, im just having a huge issue with pedal play and such..

You can loosen the jamb nut on the pedal adjust rod, and adjust the pedal out. HOwever, if you put Supra parts in your truck, the rod may not be long enough. Did you compare the lengths of the rods before installation?

I compared the boosters side to side, They are both the same lengths. The only thing i noticed was the rod for the mast cylinder/booster may not be as long and the adjusting nut is different on the older one. The supra booster is larger by far, and requires to be turned upside down in order to fit.

My main issue is the old booster as its completely blown. The mastery cylinder was just leaking.

However.. if i switch out the mast cylinder AND the booster from the supra.. shouldn't it work with just a simple pedal adjustment??!
