manual vs the automatic wiring
Yesterday I swapped in a newer engine into my blown 94 4Runner... same 3.0l, but the new engine came from a 93 manual trans. I have automatic. All engine wiring is pretty much the same, except for the EGR valve. On my automatic there was no temp sensor in the EGR valve... on the manual it has a sensor in it. On my Automatic the EGR has a boss for it, but my harness had a jumper in there...
Any reason Automatics dont care about Exhaust temp and the manuals do???

Cal spec... good though.. Cali wants all cars up, warmed, and running efficiently... could be. I wont know. I can't get to the donor pickup now. I doubt it's a year thing. typically things get better control. Unless they found that it was not necessary... thanks... good thinking
