In the mail today: RECALL

Just got a notice from Toyota that they are recalling 4runners both 2wd and 4wd from years 1990-1995 for faulty steering relay rods. Have a nice day!

I don't know ...... is it? This is the first I have heard of this recall on 90-95.

yeah, because we know that 7 failures related to defects in 15 years has got to mean that these things are junk

it's a steering component, it wears out...

It's the draglink that breaks.. Mine broke right near the pitman arm. When it broke you could tell it had been cracked for a while, it could have broken at any time.

Not to mention all 7 of those failures were on T100's too. (The only 'known' 7 they spoke of in the letters sent out to dealers.)
