To help your search, the Soarer is called a Supra in the USA. Supposedly, the LSD will work.
What do you want to accomplish? LSD is great on the road, but you're probably not in 4WD then ... LSD is almost worthless offroad IMHO, as it doesn't work when you really need it (wheel off the ground)

an lsd in the front will be much better in the front than the open i already have i dont have a wheel off the ground that often and if i do im prob not expecting to make it up any way. just more for going up wet hills and loosing traction half way up. but when in 4wd still want good steering. this is the only way i can think of doing it without spending lots of money

Have you got a rear locker. Takes a little skill to drive with one in the rear, but it isn't hard to drive so that it is unnoticeable. I found a huge increase in traction.
I'd like to hear more about front LSDs from non-rockcrawlers, in situations like mud, snow, dirt etc.

toyota lsd are only good for about 50 000k
i have one in the back of my surf with 4.88 never tested to see if it still works at 108000km.
id just bite the bullet and elock or even lockright the rear and be done with it...
me..my surf dont hit any offroad and will drag my welded up runner there is good enough for me!

I just put a tru trac lsd in the front of my 1994 pickup. I have a lunchbox locker in the rear. Granted I have not had a lot of time to test it out offroad in all situations but in the little that I have tested it has worked great. Mostly steep hill climbs where traction is key. Seems to work great so far. I don't doubt that a lsd woul be terrible for rock crawling but i dont see many rocks in Indiana. I cant wait to try it out in mud and snow.

Took my truck out for some mild wheeling today. Mostly hill climbing. Seemed to work great. One hill had a pretty good grade to it. Made it up no problem. Both fronts were turning the whole time. Seems great so far. Never really had a wheel off the ground though.

and the cressida hasn't been offered since the mid 80's in the usa.
the cressida name was folded into the 'camry' moniker in the late 80's and disappeared when the camry went full FWD.

Yeah, 82-86 Supra to be specific. They used a 7.5" IRS suspension setup. 79-81 Supras had a 7.5" SRA, but I'm 99% sure the gears are interchangable with the IRS. Not all of the SRA Supras came with an LSD though.
The M motor Cessidas also used the same differential. Changes are, if your Soarer is equipped with a 5M-GE, or a 7M-GE, it's a 7.5".
86.5-92 Supras are an 8" rear-end, and will not work in your IFS. The LSD might work in the back though.

here's the thread you want to look at
The *official* 7.5" Supra LSD into a IFS diff thread
when junkyarding, the axle code you want to look for is F**3 (f=7.5" ring gear, last digit 3=lsd) - if you were looking for an LSD for the back of your truck, the axle code would be G**5 (G=8" ring gear, 5=lsd) - on the front, keep all the diff bearing shims. you can mix and match between the supra and 4runner to get proper backlash and it is damn hard finding those shims (neither dealer I called could get them, maybe a machine shop or company such as Yukon can)
a relatively easy swap though, especially if you are keeping the stock gearing, my whole swap cost ~$80 including fluids and the diff from a Pick-A-Part (had it out of the donor in 30minutes)
I pulled one out of a '82 Celica Supra w/ 205k miles on it, on disassembly the clutch packs still had plenty of material left. on reassembly into my truck, with the diff filled, I couldn't hold one tire still while the wife was spinning the other side

Wives can't exert much torque on the tire. Imagine 400 wifes (!!!) holding the tire in place, and holding the tire in place, as you turn to turn it. That's more like it.
