Lowering Kit

Does anyone know where I can get a lowering kit for a 4runner? I am going a different direction, I found some 20's for hella cheap, and I really want a bulevard cruiser.

This guy around the corner from me said he can do a gull-wing door conversion for cheap too.

Oh yeah, I need as much chrome as possible, preferably for the parts of the car everyone sees.

well, first off, you should get the valance chrome plated. then see about a chrome tint. and a chrome grille. you can get a lowering kit from Performance Products, but you have to ask, they dont have it on their site. either remove the running boards or spend a bunchon getting them chrome plated as well. also, take all the black trim from around the windows, and get that chrome plated too same for the black on the mirrors. and of course you have to get clear lenses all around. also do the black on the door handles...i guess you can basicly chrome plate anything.

why can't he be serious? tons of people go the way of the street cruiser instead of the trail king. i mean, just think about it, all the soccor moms who own 4runners...they never use 4LO or lockers, all this guy wants to do is the same just with some shine.

Well apparently you cant figure it out by the way he typed his thread. But oook.

And do you realize what a gull-wing door is? You really ever envision that on a 4Runner?

No we are just haters of stupid crap! Lowering a 4wd is just plain dumb. Not saying it can't be done but it makes you wonder why people buy a 4wd truck to make it a 2wd truck. Sorry to the original poster but you come to a 4wd truck site asking how to lower your truck is asking for it unless it is 2wd then I can see where you are going with this.

well, guys with IFS tahoes, suburbans, denalis, H2s, escalades, ect have 4wd lowering kits available because its so popular for the street blingers. not that is what this site is about, but i love me some slammed 4runners. hell, keep it 4wd for the better launch traction at the lights. smoke them bitches with the 26s. seriously though, it can be done. crank the front bars down some, and use shackles and hangers out back, cut the coils, get a block, a flip kit, whatever it takes to move the axle higher into the body. put some nice tires and wheels. you already have chrome mirrors, handles and grille. www.fbimini.com has metal chrome valances available unless they stopped. also have billet grilles and accessories to spice the rig up. im a minitrucker myself. love lowered trucks. but im not against lifted stuff. im a member on this site because a TON of the information crosses over to both. just like www.ramchargercentral.com for my dodges.

I saw it in someone's signature, but I can't remember whose.... Anyway, it said it the best:

Lowered trucks are for guys that can't get it up.

im not going to even bother with a lifted vs lowered argument online. pointless. i like lifted trucks. but its not something id own anytime soon. id rather drag on the streets than the rocks.

.. and because 4wd is practically useless in those vehicles anyway
