I noticed your alignment discs are upside-down compared to mine (and Kirk's). Not sure that makes a difference though.

 

Yeah I flipped them around, they were hanging down and getting hit on rocks.

for redundancy I'll post here too.

took 3 different measurments, trying to find easy locations to measure.
And I used the EASY TO READ TAPE!
took two pictures of each to show where I measured from/to:
left lower rear a-arm mount to left trans x-member mount @ frame


right lower rear a-arm mount to right trans x-member mount @ frame

rear a-arm brace / mount separation


anything else I can do to you for you?

I assume when you did the instal the first time you also replace the upper control arm bushings. How did you get the old ones out? Did you take the cross piece between the 2 control arm eyes out, how did you get it out?

Yes, I've replaced my UCA bushings many times, but my UCAs are made by Superlift and the poly bushings just pry out with a screw driver. Not sure I understand the rest of your question.

 

In case there is still some confusion that is most definitely the pro comp 4 inch stage II lift. Stage 1 does not come with the kickers. I have the same lift and my kickers are identical. They are a major pain to get in, but sure to help keep things ligned up.

 

I guess I missed the part where these are aftermarket control arms. But the cross piece I was referring to you may not be using, is the shaft the goes between the eyes of the upper control arm and then 3 bolts go through the shact in to the truck frame to hold th eupper control arm on the truck. Your set up may be completely different. Sorry for the confusion.

 

Yeah my uppers are aftermarket (probably why I didn't understand your question) but my lowers are factory.

Just looking over the dismantle on my runner front LCA's.
Am I seeing things or does the Rack have to come out to remove the bolts that run through the rear bushings?

I've gotta probably do this sometime. I smacked the stock LCA bracket and bent it. I think I'm going to have to heat up the bracket red hot to bend it back to normal so I can eventually align it someday. (BTW: heating it red hot won't introduce stresses into the metal of the bracket will it? i didn't think the frame metal had any temper to it, right?)/

I might just go ahead and find a junk yard LCA and alignment bolt.

 

I bent mine back without heat. The frame probably doesn't have any temper but the bolts do. Also you'll melt the bushings with the heat.

 

Shouldn't be anyone in this section (86-95) with a rack, but I did replace the LCA on a 2001 Taco without removing the rack. It was tight and IIRC I did have to loosen the rack from the frame to get the bolt out.

 

I replaced all of my bushings today (both rears were shot).

I stopped by a friend who had a garage and we used a ball joint press to replace them.

Worked like a charm.
